Pause with HAWS

At HAWS, we’re all about animals and people – the best combination! HAWS assists over 10,000 animals and welcomes more than 35,000 people annually into our programming.

Time spent with animals is proven stress relief! Pause with HAWS is a hands-on event that boosts employee morale and wellness, increases employee engagement and brings enjoyment to the office. Adoptable animals and the HAWS team visit your office to deliver stress relief in the form of snuggles and belly rubs!

  • Provide a stress-relieving break for employees.
  • Raise funds in support of HAWS’ mission.
  • Introduce employees to HAWS’ services and programs.
  • Showcase adoptable animals looking for their forever homes.
  • Develop a long-lasting relationship beneficial to both parties.

  • Choose a weekday that will maximize employee engagement.
    • Can be coupled with a pre-existing event/special day.
  • Market the event to your employees.
    • Encourage participation through custom donation links!
  • Have a designated spot for the HAWS team to set up.
    • Either outdoors or in a large conference room with movable furniture. Open spaces are best.
  • Assign a contact person to be our liaison before and during the event.

  • Pay Per Pet
    • Employees or employer donate a certain dollar amount for time spent with the animals.
  • Employer Match
    • Employees give with the employer matching their donations.
  • Employer Donation
    • Employer donates to HAWS on behalf of the employees.

Typically, a corporate event will yield $1,000+ gifts.

  • Arrive with adoptable, friendly animals for employees to interact with.
    • Be fully prepared to address animal needs and ensure a safe, stress-free environment for all.
  • Provide information on shelter services, programming and ways to grow a humane community.
  • Respect your place of business.
    • We will clean any messes made by our animals (or humans)!

Mobile Adoption Events

By hosting a mobile adoption event, you’ll help HAWS’ adoptable animals find their forever homes and support our efforts to grow our humane community.

Bringing the Paws to Your Business

HAWS Mobile Team is thrilled to visit your workplace with adoptable animals. With a minimum $300 donation, your business will receive benefits that showcase your philanthropy in the community and commitment to humane values.

Please note: HAWS cannot guarantee the availability of animals for your event, specifically puppies or kittens. Adoptable animals in attendance are based on appropriate and current availability. The health and safety of pets is our highest priority.

 
Mobile Event Includes:
  • Event added to the hawspets.org Google calendar.
  • Event sent via email newsletter to 10,500 subscribers week of event.
  • Event added to HAWS’ Facebook events or shared as a co-host reaching 34,000 followers.
  • Two hour event on-site with an adoptable animal or two.
  • Provide information on shelter services, programming and ways to grow a humane community.
  • Custom Facebook or LinkedIn thank you post after event ($500 minimum donation).
