Bringing a new pet into your home is a big step – there can be questions and unknowns that only time will answer. HAWS’ Foster to Adopt program gives you and your new pet time to adjust to life together, while we provide support and guidance throughout the transition.

Welcome one of the eligible HAWS adoptables pictured below into your home…with a “safety net”! Take the pet you’d like to adopt into your home for two weeks before you make it permanent. We know you’ll be inseparable right away, but, just like with any adoption, during that time period you’ll have access to all of HAWS behavior resources in case you have questions about helping your new pet adjust.

Eligible Pets

Hattie

Hattie is an approximately 6 year old 39lb mixed breed dog. Hattie has had a history of being good with other dogs.

Coco

Coco is a 2yr old girl that weighs 44lbs.

Isla

Isla is a 56lb, 3.5yr old girl.

Buckwheat

Buckwheat is an approximately 45lb mixed breed dog. Buckwheat has been good with other dogs.

Marigold

Marigold is a 1 year and 3 month old female dog that weighs approximately 41lb. Marigold is currently in foster so please reach out to schedule a time to meet her!

Ruby

Ruby is a 1 year old 38lb mixed breed dog. Ruby has been successful with other dogs while participating in playgroup here at HAWS.

Ruby

Ruby is a 7 yr old girl who weighs 57lbs.

Baby

Baby is a 1.5 year old, 28lb mixed breed dog. Baby has previously been successful with other dogs and has been good with feline companions in prior homes.

Firefly

Firefly is a 9 month old, 41lb female.

Blue

Blue is a 55lb 1yr old girl. She loves to sleep in the volunteer coordinator's office during the day. She is a great coworker. She has a history of being successful with cats and dogs.

Cool Joe

Cool Joe is exactly that. You can spot him at the front reception desk most days. Oh and he is 8.5yrs old and 66lbs. He has a history of being successful with other dogs.

Laurel

Laurel is a 10 month old approximately 55lb mixed breed dog. Laurel has been successful with other dogs while participating in playgroup here at HAWS.

Scooby

Scooby is a 6 month old 45lb mixed breed dog. Scooby has been successful with other dogs while participating in playgroups here at HAWS, we do not know how Scooby would do with any feline companions.

Allspice

Allspice is a 1yr old girl who weights 42lbs.

Wrenley Jane

Wrenley Jane is an approximately 46lb mixed breed dog. Wrenley has been successful with other dogs.
