Shelter Heroes

Step into the world of everyday heroes—both furry and human! At Shelter Heroes, campers will discover how animals help people and how people can make a meaningful difference for animals in return. Throughout the week, kids will meet shelter animals, learn about working and service pets, explore the ways shelters care for pets in need, and even roll up their sleeves to create enrichment toys that brighten the lives of animals waiting for homes.
From hands-on activities to compassionate conversations, Shelter Heroes empowers kids to see themselves as helpers and friends to animals everywhere. Join us for a week of learning, kindness, and heroic fun!
Camp Highlights:
- Meet & Greet Shelter Animals: Interact with a variety of shelter animals
- Animal Heroes Spotlight: Explore the world of service animals, therapy pets, working dogs, and other animals that help people every day.
- Become An Animal Advocate: animal body language, and ways to support shelters in the community.
- Volunteering: Campers will design and craft toys, puzzles, and comfort items to improve the lives of animals waiting for homes.
