#52: Holiday Bazaar & Bake Sale
When the winter holidays approach, the Friends are all-hands-on-deck to fundraise for our animals, especially for a long-standing event like the Holiday Bazaar & Bake Sale. This one is on the calendar each year in mid-November, and is looked forward to by members of the community as well as staff and volunteers.
The Bazaar features beautiful holiday décor alongside handcrafted seasonally-themed items from local artisans. A bucket raffle allows you the chance to win carefully curated prize packages – that may just make the perfect gift for someone on your list (if not yourself)!
The Bake Sale portion is full of homemade cookies, pies, breads, canned goods, and often snacks and coffee drinks to enjoy during the event itself. To say the Friends of HAWS are good cooks and bakers is an understatement.
Is there a better way to get in the holiday spirit than by shopping, decorating and eating? And when you can shop, decorate and eat to benefit the animals and services at HAWS? Perfection.
Just calling them the “Friends” of HAWS seems inadequate. Support the Friends and their amazing fundraising efforts…and get in the holiday spirit, too, while helping the animals and HAWS!
