#51: On Call Rescue Team
Who ya gonna call? HAWS 24-hour, on call Animal Rescue team!
Whether it is 2:00pm or 2:00am, this dedicated group is ready to answer when needed.
Maybe the police need an assist with a dog after its owner gets in trouble. Maybe a citizen has been able to corral a local stray in their garage, finally. Maybe a deer is caught in a soccer net, a raccoon has fallen into a pit toilet, or a soaking wet kitten is stuck in a window well.
Our team has the safety nets, snare poles, tranquilizer darts, Kevlar gloves and crates at the ready.
HAWS’ Animal Rescuers have climbed many trees and waded through many streams. They have crouched under decks and shrubs. They have coaxed many a frightened animal with hot dogs, liver sausage, cheese and peanut butter. (Sometimes needing all four!)
When an animal is in trouble – wildlife or domestic – we’ve got the resources and talented people to handle the job.
