#32: Emergency Boarding
The nature of emergencies is that they aren’t planned, they come up at the worst times and leave us struggling with few options and difficult decisions.
HAWS’ Safe Keep program is available for those who are facing personal/financial crises, a catastrophe at home or fall out from a natural disaster. We are able to give your pets a temporary safe haven, at our shelter, if you are unable to care for them due to unforeseen circumstances. Our Safe Keep program is particularly helpful if you’ve been forced temporarily into housing where pets aren’t allowed, or you are unable to care for them due to a medical situation.
Our goal is to keep families together! If that isn’t possible for the short term, but will be again for the long haul, HAWS can. Your pets will be given lots of TLC from our staff and volunteers until you are ready to welcome them back home.
