#14: Dog Dock
As if the HAWS Schallock Center for Animals weren’t already amazing, it also is home to our private Dog Dock! This fenced swimming area is another option available for water-loving dogs during the warmer months to exercise without being bothered (no human swimming is allowed).
The Dock is great for practicing dock diving, for waterfowl dog breeds to get practice “reps” or just for strong-swimmer canines who will enjoy the cool water. It even has a special in-out area so any types of dogs can easily climb out of the water to continue the fun!
HAWS’ Dog Dock is open 7 days a week from 8-10:45am and again from 4-6:45pm during swimmable months (usually April through September…but you know Wisconsin weather). Timeslots are only $20 for 45 minutes of private access to the pond.
