About HAWS
The Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) is an open-admission, no-kill shelter dedicated to strengthening the relationship between animals and humans through adoptions and education – making a more compassionate community possible.
Open Admission & No-Kill Mission
Through our diverse programs, HAWS is committed to remaining an open admission shelter while also maintaining no-kill status. To that end, HAWS has created programs to both care for animals in need and to craft a long-lasting solution supporting pets and their people in our community.
History
At HAWS, we are extremely proud of our humble beginnings, and the legacy left by our founders. Since 1965, HAWS has been a trusted, community-based organization that is always ready to assist animals and the people who love them.
