Bringing a new pet into your home is a big step – there can be questions and unknowns that only time will answer. HAWS’ Foster to Adopt program is designed to help prospective forever homes feel more comfortable, by allowing you and the pet you’ve chosen to have a trial run.

Welcome one of the eligible HAWS adoptables pictured below into your home…with a “safety net”! Take the pet you’d like to adopt into your home for two weeks before you make it permanent. We know you’ll be inseparable right away, but, just like with any adoption, during that time period you’ll have access to all of HAWS behavior resources in case you have questions about helping your new pet adjust.

Shenzi

Shenzi is a 1.5yr old, 40lb female. She has been good with kids, cats and dogs while at HAWS.

Firefly

Firefly is a 9 month old, 41lb female.

Rosie P

Rosie P is a 2yr old, 52lb female. She has been successful with other dogs while at HAWS.

Drako

Drako is a 10 month old 65lb mixed breed dog. Drako has been successful with other dogs.

Mojo

Mojo is a 5 year old 84lb mixed breed dog. Mojo would do best in a home without any feline friends.

Olivia

Olivia is a 2 year old 38lb mixed breed dog.

Penzey

Penzey is a 10.5 year old 31lb mixed breed dog.

Ghosty

Ghosty is a 5 year old domestic short haired cat. Ghosty weighs about 12lb. She is a sweet girl who loves to play with wand toys, roll in catnip and bat around a toy ball. Ghosty also loves to snuggle, whether that be rubbing against your legs or finding a good spot in your lap. She does take a few moments to warm up to new people, but once she is comfortable she will be all over you snuggling!

James Bond

James Bond is a 2.5 year old 73lb mixed breed dog. He is available for foster to adopt so that we can help him finish healing medically (but while in his fur-ever home!). If you want more information on his medical needs, please give us a call!

Uno

Uno is a 2 year old male mixed breed dog that weighs approximately 50lb. Uno has been successful with other dogs while here at HAWS participating on our playgroups.

Jia

Jia is a 6.5 year old mixed breed dog that weighs 55lb. Jia has been successful living with cats in a prior home.

Deucy

Deucy is a 3 year old 52lb mixed breed dog.

Lemon

Lemon is a 9month old, 38lb female.
