#6: Summer Camp Registration…Open NOW! Yay, Campers!
NOW IS THE TIME TO THINK SUMMER – HAWS Summer Camp!
Education is an integral part of HAWS’ mission, and we want to make learning enjoyable – especially for the youth of our community. Teaching kids the values of empathy and compassion translates to more caring relationships, and humane treatment of all living things.
What could be more fun than spending a few days or a week or several weeks interacting with animals while learning about their care, habits and behavior? We don’t know too many kids who don’t want to hang out with dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, guinea pigs, rabbits…even a hedgehog or snake!
HAWS’ Education department has grown our day camps from a simple one-day encounter with general animal info to specialized sessions featuring dog training, science/STEM, arts and crafts and more. With the opening of our Schallock Center for Animals in 2021, there are even more opportunities for kids to learn and explore. And, we now offer equine camps – not surprisingly, Horse Crazy Camp is one of our most popular weeks.
Registration for HAWS Summer Day Camps is now open at hawspets.org/camp. Log on, learn more, sign your child up for an experience they will never forget – and probably want to repeat next summer!
