SNIP Clinic Technician
The Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County, Wisconsin (HAWS) is seeking dedicated full time and part time professional technicians to join the Spay/Neuter (SNIP) Clinic team. The Humane Animal Welfare Society is a progressive community animal welfare and education organization.
The right candidate will thrive in a fast paced medical environment. They must have a passion for animals and a strong interest in animal welfare. Team work, collaboration and strong communication skills are a must. Prior veterinary technical skills and animal handling skills for a variety of companion animals including but not limited to strong, large canines and untamed felines are preferred. Efficient data entry skills are expected.
The principal purpose of this position is provide surgical support for the veterinarians. Other duties include but not limited to:
- Customer interface
- Preparing animals for surgery and post-operative care
- Maintenance, sanitation and cleanliness of surgical equipment, tools and environment
A CVT certification or experience in a veterinary surgical environment is preferred. Ability to lift 50 pounds and work standing on tile floors for extended periods of time required.
Shifts are normally weekdays, 8-10 hours per day, but some weekend hours may be required. Reports to SNIP Clinic Manager and Veterinarians. Please submit resume via email to [email protected]
