“Critter Club was a very important part of my life in middle and high school. I was able to create lifelong friendships, learn more about animals and learn more about myself as a person. Critter Club also lead me to work in the Education Department as a Camp Counselor/Humane Educator, which has taught me many great life lessons and allowed me to pursue a career in Special Education! I would highly recommend HAWS education programming to kids who have an interest in animals and wants to meet others who have similar interests.” – Melissa

We were so impressed with the training Zeke received. The number of pictures & videos captured was beyond our expectations. You make it look so easy in your training techniques. Thank you so much again for Zeke’s training. Couldn’t be happier!!

Dexter enjoyed the training and longed for the rewarding work.  I highly recommended HAWS training to anyone struggling with a dog that has behavioral issues. It was a wonderful experience for my pup and has given me a new and improved life long companion!

Day Training helped us develop the skills as pet owners to identify and manage behaviors. We appreciated the daily report cards, videos, and many darling photos. Each staff member was beyond knowledgeable. By the end of six weeks, June displayed progress in many areas and we had a solid framework.

The thing that appeals to me about planned giving is that all of my life, one of my major goals has been to make a genuine difference for the better in at least a small part of the world. HAWS is one of those small parts of the world for me. I love all animals. Planned giving to HAWS means that even after I’ve left this world, I’ll be making a difference in the lives of the animals. That’s something that’s very important to me.

Money going to HAWS in an estate plan will do more good than smaller donations done perhaps by survivors. Monies going from tax-deferred investments such as IRA’s and 401K’s will not be subject to federal income taxes but will go to this non-profit in their entirety to do more good. Taking time with an estate planner will give you immeasurable satisfaction, knowing you have everything organized, legal, and going to an incredible resource in our community.

We have every confidence HAWS will use our gift to continue its mission in caring for and maintaining HAWS as an independent no-kill shelter with an educational component.  We could never ask for more. We can’t imagine a more reliable and satisfying action than inclusion of HAWS in an estate plan. It was a very simple decision for us.
