We really do love when our adopters send us updates on their HAWS Alumni pets!
“Back in September, Modern Woodmen did a service project day with HAWS. My daughter, Lexie, came and helped, and, went home with a cat. There was a “Name your price” for older cats. With Lexie being a “broke college girl”, she loved this idea. We haven’t had a cat in the house for a while (we have a dog and an iguana), but she convinced me that we needed to add a cat. I’m so glad we did. HAWS gave us time to sit with multiple cats, and the former Rita, now Indy, was the perfect fit!!! She is the most perfect feline family member we could have. Adopting an older cat, we were afraid that we adopted old habits too. I’m glad to report that she had great habits – always uses the litter box, never scratches furniture, uses her scratching posts & lets us trim her nails!! She’s a loveable cuddle bug that loves to give you kisses and headbutts. Thank you for your great organization!! We recommend you to everyone!!! Thanks” Chris

I adopted Goose (fka little white snoopy) last August and it was hands down the best decision I’ve ever made. He has grown to be the sassiest, silliest, handsomest little cuddle bug boy! Goose quickly became the most beloved dog in my apartment complex and he’s somewhat of a celebrity! He is the most spoiled and loved boy with an endless amount of aunties and uncles, and he loves going on “vacation” to his grandparents!! I don’t think a dog could be any more loved than Goose is. I’m so grateful to HAWS for bringing me Goose, I couldn’t imagine my life without him! Enjoy this update and a picture from his first Valentine’s day photoshoot.” Tatum S
